Disciplined, Energetic and Passionate

     These are the first qualities that stand out when one sees Antonio Ariza Momblant.  His versatility as an artist has led him to conduct a number of orchestras such as the Orquesta de Córdoba, Kamerata Krondstadt, the Symphony Orchestra of the University of Tamaulipas in Mexico as well as the Provincial Choir and Orchestra of Jaén, of which he is the founder and resident conductor.  There have been prominent venues: the Theater of Dongying, Beijing; Shenzen, at the close of its international festival, fascinating music venues while on tour thru China and at the International Festival of Úbeda with world premieres.  Antonio has done significant work as a pianist, giving solo recitals, as the soloist with orchestras or in chamber concerts with artists as soprano Raquel Lojendio and soloist Cristina Gómez Godoy with the Staaskapelle Berlin, among others. Antonio is also a researcher, as a result of extensive research on a subject he is passionate about, he authored the book Alfredo Martos: The Maestro.  

      With respect to his educational background in Conducting, he holds a Masters Degree in Orchestra Conducting from the Katarina Gurska Higher Center in Madrid, obtaining high grades with Professor Borja Quintas.  Also at the same school, he studied Counterpoint, Orchestration and Analysis with Professor Kuzma Bodrov of the Tchaikovsky Conservatory of Moscow.  Antonio undertook Masterclasses with prestigious directors Miguel Oretaga, Manuel Hernández Silva, Vladimir Ponkin from the Tchaikovsky Conservatory, Nicolás Pasquet from the University of Music Franz Liszt Weimar, Bruno Aprea and Rüdiger Bohn from the RobertSchumann Hochschule in Düsseldorf. He holds an Advanced Piano Degree from the Conservatory of Córdoba, studying under the guidance of Professor Juan Miguel Moreno Calderón, who is a proficient authority in Interpretation from UNIA, together with Professors Joaquín Achúcarro, Luca Chiantore among others.  Mr. Momblant has studied with numerous pianists such as José Morales, Jorge Luis Prats, Alexander Kandelaki, Moon Chang-Rok, Pilar Bilbao and Manuel Carra. To give him a more complete vision with studies in Musicology, he holds a Master's Degree in Musical Heritage. 
     Currently, Conductor Momblant directs the Provincial Choir and the Orchestra of Jaén.  Also a Professor of Piano Repertoire at the Conservatorio Superior de Música Andrés de Vandelvira in Jaén, Spain.
